London Ballet Academy provides elite dance training for young dancers aged 11-18 years old.
Established by principal Emma Del Monaco as a follow on school for sister company Little London Ballet, entry is via successful audition only for children of secondary school age and above.
Our vision is to provide our dancers with the skills to enable them to excel in furthering their professional dance career. All of our teachers have considerable professional dance experience and have been chosen for their expertise in their area, as well as being desirable role models for young adults.
We study the IDTA professional syllabus with students. The IDTA is a registered OFQUAL body, meaning students gain valuable UCAS points as well as being able to study for dance teacher qualifications later down the line.
In addition to syllabus classes, we regularly invite in guest teachers who deliver outstanding workshops in their specialised areas such as; audition technique, dance for musical theatre, ballet repertoire, choreography, commercial freestyle, plus many more.
We believe that our students should grasp every given opportunity to better their skills. We provide regular showcase opportunities for them to enhance their performance technique, which allows them to put al of their technique into practise.
As a school of dance specialising in preparing our students to further their dance careers, we encourage students to participate in external work shops and auditions, providing we feel they are being conducted in a professional and safe manner. Having our students' best interests at heart, we work alongside parents, offering advise on reputable companies and further/higher education colleges and universities which maybe suitable for our students.
